Amy's Story

When I began my weight loss journey, like so many, I didn't already have all the "healthy habits" in place or even know all the right places to start. Cocktails were a daily normal for me, and I was skeptical as to whether or not I could do life differently...but I knew that I had to. I was almost shocked to discover how easy it was to make modifications without feeling deprived. While I was on program, I had no cravings at all! I felt so great eating healthy on the program, that eating foods that weren't on my menu never even crossed my mind!

The 4-5 pounds I was losing each week blew my mind and kept me highly motivated to keep working towards my goal. Then, my son joined and he lost 55.5 pounds too! The difference in our home was so incredible and our new energy touched everyone...so much so that an additional two friends joined program! They wanted what I had! We were all saying, “Wait, what? I can have bacon, avocado and butter?!”

My healthy meals were so beautiful on my plate that I actually started photographing them just for fun. I was never creative with spices before MRC, but I would experiment all the time while on program. Now I liberally use garlic and onion powder, paprika, Old Bay, McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning, these awesome Veggie Roaster Seasoning packets. Flavor explosions were happening daily in my kitchen!

I remember the exact moment when I realized that being an MRC client wasn't going to be enough for me - I was only a few weeks into my program. I knew at that moment that I had to work there - I wanted to help others do what my team of coaches were doing for me. Well, as the saying goes, “what you think about, you bring about!” and here I am happily sitting on the other side of chair, helping others the same way I was helped! Amazing! The secret that MRC teaches you for success is showing you how to maintain balance and being able to find satisfaction in those food choices (so important)! I've retaught my taste buds what to love, and now my cravings now consist of foods like salmon and vegetables. I love it!

When I talk to others who are considering starting a program with MRC, they never believe that I had a weight problem in the past. I have to bust out my "before" photo and always get an incredulous "that's YOU?!" It’s an honor to be a source of inspiration to others, and I wouldn’t have believed that could be possible before! What an incredible journey! We all have the power to choose, and that’s what MRC is all about...teaching us how to make better, healthier choices. Don’t limit your possibilities. You can create your own reality through the choices you make too. As of the start of 2020, I've lost 90 pounds and 78.75 inches and because of it, my heart is full...so beautifully full!
